Who we are

What we collect
When you fill in our contact form we ask for your name, email address and what you need. You can also choose to give us your business name, phone number and any extra detail about your project. If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever you send in that message.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. These can include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.
Why we collect it
We use your details for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work and keep in touch about it. The lawful basis is legitimate interest for replying to an enquiry you started, and contract once you become a client.
We do not add you to a marketing list without asking, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
Your information may be handled by the services we use to run the business, for example our website form provider, our email provider and our hosting company. They process it on our instructions only. We do not send your details outside these suppliers.
How long we keep it
If you enquire and do not become a client, we delete your enquiry after twelve months. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as you are with us and then for six years afterwards, which is the period UK tax rules require for business records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email us and we will deal with it within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
We do not set advertising cookies and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
We use two measurement tools, and both are switched off by default. Nothing is loaded and no cookies are set unless you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Reject, or simply ignore the banner, neither tool is ever loaded at all.
Google Analytics tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies to tell one visit apart from another. We have IP anonymisation turned on, so we see the town you are in rather than your exact address.
Microsoft Clarity shows us how the site is actually used: where people click, how far down a page they scroll, and where they get stuck. It does this by recording a playback of your visit, so we can watch how someone moved through a page. Text you type into a form is masked before it leaves your browser, so we can see that a field was filled in but not what you wrote. We use this to fix confusing pages, nothing else.
Neither tool tells us your name or your email address. If you send us an enquiry, that comes through the form and is covered further up this page.
We also store your cookie choice itself in your browser so we do not ask you again on every page. That is the only thing we store without asking, because without it the banner could not work.
You can change your mind whenever you like using the link in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
