Insurance and vetting stated up front
Public liability cover, whether staff are DBS checked, whether they are employed or subcontracted. This is the information that decides the enquiry and it belongs near the top, not in the small print.
You are asking someone to hand you their keys. The site has to answer the trust questions before it asks for the booking. £20 a month, nothing upfront.
Cleaning is unusual. The customer is not buying a visible outcome so much as letting a stranger into their home or office, often while they are not there. Before they think about price they are quietly asking whether you are insured, whether your staff are checked, and whether you will still turn up in week six.
Most cleaning websites answer none of that. They lead with a stock photo of a spotless kitchen and a contact form, which is precisely the wrong order.
The other thing worth getting right is that your good customers are recurring. A weekly domestic clean or an office contract is worth many times a one off. The site should be built to win those, not just end of tenancy jobs.
Ordered by what the customer is actually worried about, rather than what is easiest to write.

An office manager and a homeowner want different things and search different terms. One page trying to serve both convinces neither. We give each its own page and its own language.
Bedrooms, bathrooms, frequency, square footage for commercial. Enough that you can quote accurately without a site visit, which saves you hours every week.
Weekly, fortnightly and one off rates shown side by side. It nudges people toward the recurring option, which is the one you actually want, and it filters out bargain hunters early.
End of tenancy, deep cleans, after builders, carpet cleaning, Airbnb changeovers. Each is a distinct search with distinct urgency, and end of tenancy in particular is searched by people with a deadline.
In this trade, other people's experiences carry more weight than anything you can say about yourself. We make your Google reviews prominent and make it easy to collect more.
Domestic customers search "cleaner near me" and behave like consumers. Commercial enquiries come from an office manager searching "office cleaning" plus a town, comparing three companies, and needing to justify the choice to someone else.
That second group wants different things on the page: contract terms, whether you can work out of hours, whether you cover multiple sites, and something that reads like a real company rather than a man with a van. Give them that and you win contracts worth more than a year of domestic cleans.
How we approach local SEOMostly about pricing, and about competing with the very cheap end.
Usually yes for domestic, and "from" pricing for commercial where every building differs. Being open about rates loses you the customers who were only ever going to haggle, and wins the ones who wanted to know you were not the cheapest for a reason.
Not on price, so do not try. Compete on the things they cannot show: insurance, vetted staff, a proper contract, cover when someone is ill, and reviews from people who have used you for years. Customers who have been let down by a cheap cleaner become your best clients.
Not at all, and we would build the site around domestic rather than pretending you do commercial too. A focused site converts better than one hedging its bets. If you add commercial later, that page is included in the monthly fee.
Booking enquiries, easily. Taking payment upfront is possible but rarely worth it for recurring work, where most companies invoice monthly. We would talk you out of adding a payment system you are not going to use.
Tell us whether you do domestic, commercial or both, and where you cover. We will come back with a price and a launch date.
