Local SEO for UK small businesses. We build the foundations into every site from day one, then go after the searches that actually bring work through the door.

Why it matters

Nobody scrolls to page two.

When someone needs a plumber, a barber or an electrician, they open Google, type the service and their town, and pick from what they see first. That decision is usually made in under a minute, and most of it happens in the map results at the top.

If you are not in there, you are not in the running. It does not matter how good your work is or how nice your website looks, because that person never saw either.

SEO is simply the work of being in that list, and then being the one they choose.

The four things we work on.

In this order, because there is no point chasing keywords while the technical basics are broken.

01

Technical foundations

Fast loading, works on mobile, a clean sitemap, a robots file, and the site properly submitted to Google Search Console so it actually gets indexed. Dull, unglamorous, and the reason everything else works.

02

Your Google Business Profile

For local trades this often matters more than the website, and you can do a lot of it yourself using our Google Maps guide. Correct categories, service areas, opening hours, photos and a steady flow of reviews. We set it up properly or clean up whatever is there.

03

On page work

A page for each service you want to be found for, with titles and descriptions written to earn the click rather than just contain the keyword. Headings that make sense to a person first and a crawler second.

04

Structured data

Markup telling Google exactly what your business does, where it operates and what it charges. It is how you become eligible for the richer results that take up more space in the listings.

What to realistically expect, and when.

Anyone promising page one in a fortnight is either guessing or lying. This is closer to how it actually goes.

What we will not do.

There is a lot of nonsense in this industry and small businesses are the usual target. So, plainly:

  • Guarantee a position in Google, because nobody can
  • Buy links, which risks a penalty for a short term bump
  • Stuff your pages with keywords until they read like a robot wrote them
  • Send you a fifty page report that says nothing
  • Charge for SEO on a site too broken to rank. We fix that first

What you get instead

  • Keyword research based on your services and your areas
  • A page for each service worth being found for
  • Titles and descriptions written to earn clicks
  • Google Business Profile set up or repaired
  • Search Console connected so we see real search data
  • A short monthly note in plain English on what moved

Common questions about SEO.

The ones we get asked most often, answered without the sales pitch.

The foundations are, yes. Every site gets proper titles, descriptions, headings, structured data, speed and indexing as standard, because leaving those out would be daft. Ongoing campaign work, extra service pages and content over time are quoted separately and only start once you agree the price.

For local searches you can sometimes see movement within a few weeks, especially if your Google Business Profile has been neglected. For anything competitive, think three to six months. SEO compounds slowly, which is exactly why it is worth starting now rather than next year.

They influence local results, and they very obviously influence whether someone picks you. A steady trickle of genuine reviews beats a sudden burst of twenty. We will help you set up an easy way to ask customers, but we will never write them for you.

Then a page per area usually makes sense, much like the area pages we run ourselves, each genuinely about working in that place rather than the same paragraph with the town name swapped. Google spots the copy and paste version, and so do customers.
